Jan 8 2017 marks the 70th anniversary of the birth of David Bowie and the 40th anniversary of the commencement of the most astounding period of an already astonishing career – The Berlin Trilogy of 'Low', 'Heroes' & 'Lodger'.

The Berlin Trilogy encapsulated some of Bowie’s most thought provoking work. Recorded with Brian Eno, Bowie’s music of the late '70s evoked glacial images of isolation and identity loss set against the barbed-wire bleakness of the Berlin Wall.

Bowie and Eno mixed avante-garde influenced songs with sweepingly atmospheric instrumentals and stark shards of Kraukrock inspired angst. The results were acclaimed by critics at the time and have influenced musicians and composers ever since.

Joining Musical Director Mick Harvey (Nick Cave’s Bad Seeds/ PJ Harvey/ Birthday Party) in this tribute to this most esoteric and revered era of David Bowie’s work are vocalists Kylie Auldist, Dave Graney, Ron Peno, Kim Salmon and Max Sharam.
